How to Organize a Voter Registration Drive

At our last general meeting, we talked a great deal about the importance of encouraging friends, family and neighbors to register to vote for the upcoming midterm elections. Pass the Redistricting Reform Act and set up independent commissions to draw fair maps and put the people in charge, not politicians.

Voters should choose politicians — not the other way around.

But extreme partisan gerrymandering lets political insiders and party bosses draw district lines that box out their competition and protect their own power. Gerrymandering robs voters of their right to a meaningful choice at the polls, and weakens our democracy.

We must stop this kind of political manipulation for good. The Redistricting Reform Act would count all Americans and put the people back in charge by setting up independent commissions that prioritize inclusive public participation, fair representation, and transparency when drawing maps.

Tell your lawmakers — support this important bill and end gerrymandering now!

We need to vote them out of office, plain and simple. VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, and encourage everyone you know to do so, as well. For the sake of our children, and our fellow Americans.

We encourage you to use the opportunities and resources below to find a pathway for getting involved in the upcoming elections.
